3.3.1. Infrastructure Level Administration

3.3.1. Infrastructure Level Administration

The Network Administrators, Service Administrators and IRC Operators are the roles responsible on the infrastructure level of an IRC network. They are in charge of the maintenance of the network and control over the services provided by the network. They have the most control over the network and able to override certain things on the IRC system. They are not meant to be responsible of the channel created within the network. The channels within the network are responsibility of the channel level roles. However, under certain circumstances, they are able to take action against channels and users which offended the network rules.

Infrastructure Level Administrators Responsibility

The Infrastructure level administrators are in charge and responsible on the infrastructure. They might have the most priviledge within the IRC network, nonetheless, they have no legal responsibilities of what being done on the channel level. This is because it is not feasible for the infrastructure level administrators to be on each and every channel created on the network to monitor what happening.
